Why You’re NOT Getting What You Pray For.

I’ve seen a lot of Christians unable to get what they are asking God for and one reasons is because they are afraid to ask God for more because they hear from other believers this fear based message:

“You better be careful for what you pray for.”

“You better not ask God for more faith because if you do you are going to go through trials.”

Have you heard these sayings before?

That message comes from a place of fear.

But fear is not of God it’s from the enemy. He makes you afraid to ask God for your blessings because you are afraid God will do something bad to you if you ask Him for it.

And that’s a lie! That’s not like God. It is God’s good pleasure to bless you.

Luke 12:32

“Do not be afraid and anxious, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”

Don’t let the devil steal what God put in your hands!

In your hands you have the authority to ask & receive your blessings. The enemy wants to prevent you from even asking God for what you want because He knows God will give it to you.

I want to encourage you- don’t be afraid to ask God for more- more faith, patience, whatever it is. Ask Him.

He will give you what you ask for because He is faithful and should you go through any trials He is your help. Where does your help come from? It comes from the Lord. (Psalm 121:2)

Everything you go through is always for your good and its always worth it. And honestly, if you are a true child of God YOU AIN’T NO PUNK! Go back & read the Bible to check the facts. True children of God can overcome anything because they belong to the One who has already overcome the world.

1John 4:4

Little children (believers, dear ones), you are of God and you belong to Him and have [already] overcome them [the agents of the antichrist]; because He who is in you is greater than he (Satan) who is in the world [of sinful mankind].

So if you are a true child of God, I dare you to ask God for more!

Now for those of you who are not afraid and have been asking God for more but not seeing it then you may need to increase your capacity.

In order to get more you have to increase your capacity for more. So for example, in the physical sense if you want to increase your muscle strength you have to go to the gym & lift more weight. However, if you don’t lift additional weight you will be unable to carry extra weight.

Therefore, if you are not strong enough to carry “the more” -more of His glory, more blessings, etc.

If you are not strong enough to carry “the more” you’re asking for, God may not give it to you. Because He never gives you more than you can bear. (To much is given much is required.)

So if you refuse to work out and can only carry 1pound that’s all He will give you. If you are not willing to bear a couple more pounds… if you are not willing to comply with Him when He asks you to step out on faith 1,2,3, more times in order for Him to give you what you are asking for, then stop asking God for more because you will never have it.
