Why I went to Israel

To Israel

I’m going to be honest with you. I never intended to visit Israel. I never had a desire to go.

I heard they were at war and I wanted no parts of it. I am a peacemaker, so much so that I barely watch the news because it highlights violence.

Funny story, I had the opportunity to attend my business mentor’s Retreat in Hawaii. I also had an opportunity to go to Israel. Well, financially I couldn’t do both so I made the easy decision to go to Hawaii instead of Israel. I love Hawaii, it’s one of my favorite destinations. I had set aside money, picked out my sundresses and everything. However, one day I came to the realization that I have based my entire business on God. Jesus is my brand but I can’t even visit His homeland? I had to reexamine my choice: seek God or seek my own desire. I chose God. I decided to continue to walk my talk and I purchased the ticket to Israel and decided not to go to Hawaii. (Not knowing how to pack for the trip I opted to pack a little of everything until my suitcase exploded- as seen above, LOL)

I knew this was what God wanted me to do so I knew He would take care of me. God knows my heart and my desires better than I do. True I felt a little sad but I was not unhappy. I did not regret I chose to go to Israel.

When I got to Israel I saw for my own eyes that He takes care of His own. Before I visited Israel I assumed what was portrayed on the news was true. I assumed It was a place of civil unrest with suicide bombers in every city.

I was wrong. For the most part, it was peaceful and friendly. On the outside it seemed like an unsafe place, an under privileged place but on the inside it’s a different story. What you don’t see are the inherited blessings God placed on the people and the land. (It’s a beautiful thing to see them stand in their blessing.) What you don’t see are the promises He gave them that have been fulfilled with more to come.

Yes it may seem like an unsafe and undesirable place to be because it doesn’t look like a Fu Fu story but a closer look reveals He is with them. When you are with God you are in the safest place in the world.

He’s already chosen you to be His. You are God’s chosen people and He takes care of His own. You may think others look at you as undesirable, because your life looks messy but a closer look reveals you have a promise upon your life yet to be fulfilled. And God always keeps his promises. Always.

Praise Report:

Oh and by the way, God blessed me and provided a way for me to also go to Hawaii as well! You see when I put God first and decided to invest in my pursuit of Him, He rewarded me with the desire in my heart.

God rewards those who seek Him. Hebrews 11:6
