When Others Mistreat You…

When others mistreat youI LOVE helping others!

It brings me great joy to see someone else excel because I was able to support them with what they needed so they could move to their next level. #Bliss #Hearts #Warm&Fuzzy……
As I was saying, all throughout my life I’ve loved to help people and many have mistaken it as a weakness. Many have taken advantage of my kindness and many times I’ve been hurt by those who “used” my kindness and then would turn around and spit in my face (so to speak).
Can you relate?
It’s seems like the nice person always gets treated poorly or overlooked most of the time.
So, years ago, I did what anyone else would do. I shut down and stopped being so kind.
This was a huge mistake for me.
See, because kindness is such a huge part of my personality I began to literally die inside.
Slowly my joy, health, peace & confidence deteriorated until I was left completely depressed & miserable.
It took along time to realize this and get my joy back.
There was something that was blocking me from living my #Blessed Life.
Today I want to share with you what that is: kindness is not a weakness.
That’s right.
Your kindness is not a weakness.
I’d like to encourage you today to continue to be kind even when it doesn’t seem to “pay off”.
Take heart because it is from God that your reward will come.
See people can’t use you or mistreat you if you were doing the will of God. God has called us all to Love Him and Love others.
Matt 22:36-40
36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 And Jesus replied to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for others].’ 40 The whole Law and the [writings of the] Prophets depend on these two commandments.”
If you are doing what God is calling you to do then it doesn’t matter what anyone else says or does.
So for example, someone you know asks you for $100 and says they will pay you back. God says to meet the need and give to the person. Then the person takes your money and never pays you back.
In this instance you must remember, you were obeying God, not being a doormat for your enemies.
Don’t be distracted by what they may think of you.
Don’t be distracted by their insults. Their insults DO NOT define who you are.
You are only defined by the word of God. So forgive and let it go. Continue to do good and be the good and faithful servant He’s called you to be.
Your reward comes from the Lord.
Be Blessed. Be Encouraged
