How to Keep Going When You Don’t FEEL Like It

I’m tired!
Physically. Mentally. Spiritually. I’m tired.
 
Growing my business, keeping consistent with homeschooling my 5-year-old daughter, keeping up with household chores, cooking, cleaning, Bible study, church, husband being deployed and my physical health and diet lacking. I know I need to get more physically active but most days, all I want to do is crawl into bed and take a nap because I’m tired!
 
That’s the familiar feeling that sets in for me as I juggle family, client & church obligations.
 
But instead of giving in to it and taking a nap, God told me to go for a walk. I didn’t understand how a walk was supposed to help me in my state of exhaustion. And I certainly didn’t “want to” go for a walk. But then an old quote popped into my head:
 
“Your success is on the other side of ‘I don’t feel like it.'”
Sometimes what God asks you to do doesn’t make sense and you certainly don’t feel like doing it. But when you listen and do it anyway, that is true obedience and love for the Father expressed as an action. That is true worship. And I am determined to worship God in spirit and in truth.
 
So I got my tired butt up and went for a walk with my daughter even though I “didn’t feel like it.” I walked because I know, trust and believe that on other side of this there is more for me. More energy. More relaxation. More spiritual insight. More joy. More peace in knowing that I am doing what is right (what He wants me to do) even when I don’t feel like it.
