You don’t have to go to Israel to find God

You don't have to go to Israel

Before I went to Israel everyone was telling me:

“This is a trip of a lifetime! Once you go you will never be the same again! You will feel the presence of God stronger there than you ever have anywhere else! You will feel the electricity in the air because God’s presence is so strong there.”

SO HERE I WAS IN ISRAEL!!!!!

AND I FELT…..

Nothing.

I went to all these significant locations where mighty men of God had been. Where Jesus Himself had been! And I felt nothing. I began to question myself. What was wrong with me?! I was searching the land, they sky, my faults, anything. What was wrong with me that I couldn’t feel the presence of God in this place? I was starting to feel bad. I was sitting in the ancient city of Shiloh looking at the remains of the city. This is the city where God’s ark of the covenant had been. Now I know for certain God was here. So I prayed, “Where are You? Why can I not feel you here, see you here?

WHERE ARE YOU? I’M HERE LOOKING FOR YOU!”

And He said in a still small voice.

“I was there but I’M not there anymore. You are looking at the stones on the ground. You’re looking in the wrong place.

I’M in your heart, I will never leave you nor forsake you. I’M always with you. You’re looking in the wrong place.”

The point is, you don’t have to come to Israel to find God. He meets you wherever you are. When you invite Him to be the Lord of your life He remains with you always.  If you would like to invite God in to your life click here to pray with me.

Be Blessed, Be Encouraged
