Blessings Over Dinner

I just came back from visiting Israel and it was wonderful! So I’ll be talking about it in the next couple of blogs because I can’t wait to share my experience with you.

But first let me tell you…On the second day of my 2 week trip to Israel, I realized I had left my laptop charger at home!

Not to worry, I had a backup.

BUT the backup battery I had packed for my laptop DID NOT WORK!

What’s a blogger to do?

One night, over dinner, God blessed me unexpectedly.

I was the first to arrive to the dinner table. It was a buffet dinner so I left my jacket in my seat to go get a plate. When I came back to the table an unwanted guest was sitting next to me. I’m going to be honest ya’ll. I did not want to sit next to her. I mean, she was a nice lady but her attitude was very critical and negative so I tried to keep my distance from her. When she asked me if anyone had taken the seat she sat in, I remained polite and told her she was welcome to sit by me. (I wasn’t gonna be rude ya’ll)

In the end, it turned out I had a great time talking with her and some other ladies in the group over dinner. To top it off, as I was telling them of my laptop dilemma the unwanted guest said she had a laptop charger and would let me borrow it!

God sat her beside me on purpose! He did it to humble me and teach me a lesson.

No one is perfect. All His kids have faults, including me.

The main person I didn’t want to sit by me, was the one who was able to bless me.

I learned AGAIN not to judge a book by it’s cover. She had hidden potential I couldn’t see.

You think because you have faults you have nothing to offer. That’s not true. You have hidden potential. You can serve where you’re at until you get to where you want to be.
